Abstract：This paper uses Theil index and β convergence test to analyze the difference and the convergence of industrial economy in Zhejiang based on different industries and different areas from 2002 to 2012.The main conclusions are drawn as follows.Firstly,the whole industrial difference based on different industries keeps increasing.The developed industries have bigger and bigger difference,and the less developed industries are opposed.Secondly,the whole industrial difference based on areas keeps decreasing.The areas having bigger difference have slower speed of convergence,while areas having small difference have faster speed.Besides,changes of industrial labor force input and profit are the main factors of difference fluctuate between industries.And convergence of industrial economy between areas is mainly due to the changing conditions of industrial labor force input,industrial structure,strategy of industrial development,etc
