Abstract：The paper uses China’s manufacturing industry’s panel data from 1996 to 2012,through the industry overall,three cases of fixed effects model and PVAR model,to test the influence of technology import,FDI and import trade spillover to the invention patent under the open condition.The empirical results show that,in the overall,foreign technology is conducive to China’s invention patent output.Foreign technology and invention patent are also interact with each other,and have significant long-term effects.From the survey,foreign technology can effectively promote high technology and traditional technology manufacturing industries invention patents,but for food and tobacco,paper and textile industries may produce certain crowding out.To this,the paper puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations
