Abstract:Based on spatial distribution feature of three kinds of agricultural research and development inputs(basic research, applied research and experimental development research),this study took agricultural research and development inputs in agricultural scientific research institution as research objects, analyzing their dynamic evolution from 2002 to 2013 by using kernel density estimation method exploring the driving forces by constructing economic model. Results showed that:①Basic research and applied research inputs changed relatively stable, while experimental development research inputs showed a continuous rising trend.②Distribution pattern three kinds of agricultural research and development inputs showed a big shift, presenting obvious regional difference.③Regional difference of applied research and experimental development research inputs expanded significantly, while regional difference of basic research inputs showed a slight increasing trend in total, going through a process from narrow to expand.④The basic research and applied research inputs were affected significantly by quantity of research institutions, while experimental development research inputs was influenced by socio-economic factors. The promotion effect of agricultural science and technology policy to agricultural research and development inputs was enhanced from experimental development research to basic research
