Three-Elements Models of S&T Diplomacy Based on Activity Analysis

Abstract：The paper reviews and classifies the main concepts of S&T Diplomacy at home and aboard.On the basis of this,it adopts“activity analysis approach”.S&T Diplomacy has been observed as a human activity.After the comparison with some associated activities,three basic characteristics of S&T Diplomacy are abstracted:S&T,national significance and international exchanges.Then the paper establishes the “Three-elements Model” of S&T Diplomacy and gives the narrow and broad definitions of S&T Diplomacy.
