Abstract：Following the main line of Labor Division and the efficiency of the transaction,we outlined the interaction of industry evolution and urban expansion.the results shows that:①Industrial high grade such as industrialization and the tertiary industry is the real power for China's economic growth and urban development;②Different with the classical theories,deepening division of labor and transaction efficiency does not promote long-term sustained high grade industry,but as a result of the emergence of high-class industry,which is the result of China's exogenous economic growth;③In the long term,exogenous industry is not sustainable,and relying solely on exogenous technology transfer and industrial upgrading is insufficient to support sustained economic development when the economy develops to a certain height,so we need to adjust development strategies and convert the power of development;④At the current stage,a more realistic path is the depth of industrialization by promoting urbanization,but the urban expansion needs to improve trading efficiency.Therefore,we must improve transaction efficiency,reduce transaction costs,and facilitate endogenous transformation of urbanization and industrialization
